Porosity and Density Meter

Porosity is a measure of how much empty space there is within something. Think about a sponge. On the other hand, a sponge has many holes or spaces which allows it to absorb water. In reverse, density is about how much stuff - matter - fits in a certain space. Take a rock for example, it is very dense because of all the matter that exists in such a small area so when you hold it feels heavy.

Porosity is important because materials can behave differently at different densities. For example: a sponge can hold much more water than rock could since there is empty space inside. Porosity and density are really easy properties to understand for people like engineers as well as scientists. This is because they use their knowledge to produce so many things that create, among other matters: buildings or cars and even medicines used for human welfare.

Accurate Measurements of Porosity and Density with Leading Meter

In order to learn more about porosity and density in materials, we have to measure them extremely carefully. In order to do this, we have a special device called porosity and density meter. This tool has been designed to allow us a further insight into these properties.

This meter will basically measure how much space there is in a material and what all things are stuffed up within the unit area. It sends a high-energy beam through the material (sort of like radiation) and sees how much of that energy is absorbed. The material is denser, the more energy that it absorbed. This will allow us to determine the strength or weakness of the material.
