Description

The physicochemical properties of slag are of great significance for the study of metallurgical processes. Therefore, researching certain physical properties of slag, such as viscosity, surface tension, density, and conductivity, provides guidance for the rational operation of metallurgical processes and product quality. This instrument is used to test and study the high-temperature viscosity, surface tension, high-temperature density, and conductivity parameters of continuous casting protective slag. It features microcomputer measurement and control, a high-precision stepper motor and PLC pulse control, and ultra-high precision speed control. A high-precision electronic balance is used for weighing (high-temperature density). It fully meets the YB/T185 testing standard.

It can also be used to determine the viscosity of molten glass or other substances in the molten state at different temperatures, obtaining the viscoelastic viscosity/temperature correlation curve of the molten glass. The molten glass is kept at a pre-set temperature for equilibrium or dynamically measured at a certain cooling rate to determine the change in viscosity with temperature during cooling. The temperature of the glass sample is monitored by a sample thermocouple under the crucible, and the temperature value is transmitted to computer software for real-time display. The rotor is slowly lowered and immersed in the molten glass sample, and the viscometer rotates at a pre-set speed, displaying the corresponding viscosity reading. The time difference, corresponding viscosity value, and temperature at different rotation speeds are saved in a computer data file.

This instrument is mainly used to test and study parameters such as high-temperature viscosity, surface tension, high-temperature density, and electrical conductivity of non-metallic materials such as slag. It is computer-controlled. A GM1800 high-temperature silicon molybdenum rod is used as the heating element, a type B thermocouple is used for temperature measurement, a high-precision temperature control module precisely controls the heating rate, and a high-precision torque sensor data acquisition system collects and displays the data in real time on the computer monitor. An experimental report can be printed after the experiment.
